Wednesday 21st March marked the official 50th anniversary of THB, celebrating five decades of success as a wholesale insurance and reinsurance broker.

At a Town Hall live-streamed to hundreds of THB colleagues, CEO Frank Murphy said: “We've reached 50, we’re still growing, and now we're focused on the next 50 years.”

“Naturally we’re proud of our heritage and we will be taking forward with us the fundamentals that have brought us success. Even more importantly we will be using this landmark anniversary to highlight how we’ve grown in the last five decades to become the 8th largest Lloyd’s broker, placing well in excess of $1 billion into the London market.”

“Remaining independent is hugely important to us and to our clients, and with the largest US wholesale broker, AmWINS, as our parent - itself committed to being a 150 year company - we’re built for long-term independence. I see THB in the unique position of having Big Company resources and Family Firm values, exceptionally well placed to meet the challenges of the next 50 years in broking.”
